REMINDER: Underclassmen Orientation Tomorrow
Camden Early College Families,
Just a reminder that we will be hosting new and returning underclassmen with an open house on Tuesday, August 11th, at 5:00 pm to help you prepare for the new school year. There will be a special CECHS orientation for the incoming Freshman Class of 2030 and a CoA information session for our returning Sophomores. CoA information session is optional for Juniors.
Please park in the bus lot and walk to the front entrance of the Early College. Do not park in the front lot of CCHS, as they also have a new parent orientation the same evening.
Schedules and Chromebooks will not be available during the open house; students will receive these during homeroom on the first day of school. All students (even Seniors) are expected to attend homeroom on the first day of school. Schedules will also be available on Infinite Campus on the first day of school, August 13th. CoA classes do not begin until Monday, August 17th.

🚧 Upcoming Road Work on Highway 343 Near New High School Site
Road improvements are scheduled to begin on June 1st along Highway 343, near the location of the new high school. This project will continue for several weeks and includes widening the roadway and adding new turning lanes to improve long‑term traffic flow and safety.
During construction, drivers should expect periodic traffic delays in the area. Please plan extra travel time and use caution when driving through the work zone.

Camden County Board of Education
The Camden County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Meeting to conduct a CTE and Budget work session in the Camden County School Conference Room of Grandy Primary School, located at 175 N.C. Hwy 343, Camden, NC 27921, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, beginning at 5 p.m. Following the work sessions, the Board will hear updates on the construction of the new high school and may consider and approve a fiber contract and a resolution regarding the State budget. The Board may also enter closed session to discuss one or more confidential matters pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(1), (a)(3), and (a)(6). There will not be a public comment segment during the work session, nor will the meeting be livestreamed.
